

He was born on April 10, 1926 in Brownfield, Pennsylvania to the late Ward and Oma (Corriston) Conway. Richard was a member of Fairfield Beach United Methodist Church, loved watching westerns, history, steam engine trains, fishing and gardening. He served in the Army during WW II with the 26th Infantry Division. He retired from the Timken Company after 30 years.
Richard is survived by his children; Richard Conway Jr. of California, David (Dean) Conway of Washington, Dale (Sherry) Conway of Texas; Duane (Debbie) Conway of Somerset, Claudine Conway, Clifford Conway, Darrell Conway, Kathy (Chuck) Nichols and daughter-in-law Tammy (Richard) Grimm all of Thornville, 16 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Dorothy C. (Hileman) Conway, son Keith Conway, daughter-in-law Linda Conway, 10 brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 5 - 8 at Boring-Sheridan Schoedinger Funeral Home, 56 South Main Street, Thornville, Ohio.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 11:00 am at Boring-Sheridan Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Borah and Pastor Doug Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Reformed Cemetery, Thornville.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Pickering House, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
