Richard Elzy Dixon

Richard Elzy Dixon, 88, died Sunday, May 12, 2013. He was born January 11, 1925 in Bridgeport, Ohio to the late Charles and Missouri (Jacobs) Dixon. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2252 and American Legion Post 227. Richard enjoyed playing the harmonica, camping, boating, and working on cars. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Richard Kirk Dixon; siblings, Hazel, Jesse, Charles, and Annabelle; and granddaughter, Melissa Frey. Richard is survived by his loving wife, of 67 years, Geraldine; daughter, Brenda Lee Dixon and Jill Doreen Truxall; grandchildren, Lisa Trott, Darren Heller, Lori Heazlit, Tracy Hostetter, Kirk-Patrick Dixon, Michelle (David) Czarniecki; great-grandchildren, Brady, Brent, Sierra, Alyssa, Pegan, Lenee, Karlie, Chad, Isabella, Adrianna, Gabriella, Zach, Jerry, Matt, Courtney, Amber, and Morgan; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Thursday May 16, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where funeral service will be held 10 AM Friday with Pastor Paul Czarniecki officiating.
