

Richard “Dick” Entler, passed away on November 2, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Proceeded in death by his parents and his wife, Kay. Survived by son Stephen (Evelyn) Entler and daughter Christi (Brian) Young. Richard was born on January 10, 1926. He served in the U. S. Navy and, upon his honorable discharge, enrolled at The Ohio State University where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. He was an avid supporter of OSU athletics. He retired in 1994 after a 35 year career at Battelle Memorial Institute. He and Kay enjoyed ballroom dancing so much that they had a dance floor installed in the basement of their home. After his retirement, he became very active at the Upper Arlington Senior Center where he enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and chair volleyball and dancing. Up until the last few months of his life, he was active with line dancing. He also volunteered with U. A. Mayor’s Court. The family would like to thank all of his line dancing friends for their love and friendship, and the staff at The Forum at Knightsbridge and Ohio Health Hospice for all they did to make his final days comfortable. Family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a memorial service will follow immediately after at 11 A.M.
