Richard is survived by sisters, Dot Mavis, Nancy (Steve) Angeletti, brother, Lee (Dianna) Mavis; nieces and nephews.
Richard graduated from Mifflin High School, class of 1968. He worked at Gateway Supermarket in Westerville and retired from the USPS after 37 years.
Richards family would like to thank the doctors', nurses and staff at the Ohio Health Riverside Methodist Hospital and Kobacker House.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
