Robert L. Bowers, 67, of Grove City, died Thursday, October 31, 2013. He was born June 18, 1946 in Columbus to the late Roy and Ruth (Stephens) Bowers. He was a U.S. Marine veteran and a member of American Legion Post #164. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers James, Thomas, William, Leroy and sisters Gladys Coey and Stella Shultz. He is survived by his wife, Janice (Chambers) Bowers, children Sonia (Shaun) West, Kimberly Bowers, Tonia (Todd) Daniels and Robert Clark, nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, Jean (Clyde Mahon) Purcell and Mary Helen (Mike) Lafollette, brother-in-law Charles Shultz and many nieces and nephews. Retired from LV Trucking after 20 years of service. Family will receive friends Monday, November 4, 2013 from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway.
