

Robert “Bob” N. Burroughs, age 78, of Dublin, passed away on Monday, May 10, 2010. Bob was born on May 17, 1931 in Columbus; he was the son of the late Lyman and Daisy Burroughs. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Lynne”; and sister, Alice Burroughs Huffman. Bob is a graduate of Grandview High School, where he played football and basketball and went to college on a basketball scholarship to Ohio Wesleyan University; where he received his Bachelor’s degree in business and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. Bob worked with his father for over 40 years at Burroughs Electric. He was involved in the Builders Exchange, NECA, Aladdin Shrine, and was a member of Brookside Country Club for over 40 years and club president in 1974. Bob was a life long season ticket holder for the Cleveland Browns and was a true sports fanatic. He is survived by his loving children, Rebecca (Ed) Thomas, Alice (Craig) Williams, Mike Burroughs, and Tom (Arin) Burroughs; grandchildren, Beth, Dan and Erica Williams, Thomas and Tyler Cooper, Morgan, Cailin and Alice Burroughs; and 1 great grandson, Mathias Cooper. Family will receive friends on Friday, May 14, 2010 from 6-8pm at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221; and again on Saturday, May 15, 2010 from 2-4pm with a memorial service at 4pm.
