Robert Homer Cherry

Robert Homer Cherry, Jr., 81, of Columbus, died Thursday, June 21, 2012. He was born March 4, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Robert and Marion (Hoffman) Cherry. He was a graduate of Glenside High School, PA. He received his Bachelors degree from Penn State University, Masters degree from the University of Michigan and PhD from The Ohio State University. He was a chemical engineer and consultant, retiring as a teacher of computer science and calculus at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. He attended Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church and will be missed by all. He is preceded in death by his second wife Lois Creamer Carver and two sisters Pris and Peg. He is survived by son Thomas Cherry (Susan Reed), his first wife Lois Jo-Ann (Edwards) Cherry, cousins Jim Cherry and David Garlich, stepchildren David Carver, Steve Carver, Lois Kenney and Gayle Carruthers,. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1 PM.
