Robert Feeley, 54, died peacefully at home September 20, 2011 after living with ampullary cancer for the past 13 months. First and foremost, Bob was a devoted husband and Dad. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, and their children, David (Stephany) and Rachel. He was never happier than when he was with them and delighting in their company. Bob loved the outdoors, especially the mountains and water, often hiking, snorkeling and scuba diving with his family. He was active in volunteering and fundraising with the Mid-Ohio branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and was honored as board member of the year in 2002. Bob was also a kind and attentive son to his parents, Alma and the late Terence Feeley. He is survived by grieving siblings, Barb (Bob) Alflen, Dan (Kim) Feeley, Mary Jean (Tim) Balda, and Nancy Feeley. His in-laws, Lyndall Carroll, Becky (Doug) McElwain, Woody (Molly) Gordon, Eric (Jamie) Gordon, Erin (James) Glover and Aimee (John) Hensley loved him like one of their own. He is also Uncle Bob to 29 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol, and his nephew, Jacob. Bob was principal and managing director for US Realty Consultants (USRC) and he asked us to express his thanks to his fellow principal and managing director, Jeff Walker, for his kindness and friendship during his life and his illness. Bob was both an undergrad and grad school graduate of The Ohio State University, earning a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in real estate in 1983. He also held the MAI (Member, Appraisal Institute) designation and was an active member of the appraisal community and was a delegate to the 1988 and 1989 Young Advisory Council of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. Bob was truly a contented soul, blessed with a wonderful wife, children who adore him, and a lifelong career he thoroughly enjoyed. We will miss but forever remember his exuberance for life, the quiet grin in his brown eyes, his sense of humor, his generosity, his easygoing nature, his strength and determination. We invite you to remember him with us at a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 807 Havens Corner Rd. Father Vincent McKiernan, C.S.P. Celebrant. Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Friday at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: 1550 Old Henderson Road Suite N-160, Columbus, OH 43220 - 614-464-CURE.
