

Robert Goodrich, age 91, a life-long resident of New Albany, Ohio passed away at home on Sunday, December 12, 2010. He was born January 15, 1919 to the late William and Flora Goodrich and was also preceded in death by his brother, John. Bob was a retired dairy farmer as well as a retired Plain Township bus driver. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Panama and was a member of VFW Post #4719 of Gahanna where he held the position of Past Commander and was a faithful member of the Honor Guard. Bob was a founding member of the Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church in New Albany, a Fourth Degree Knight in the Msgr. Colby Grimes Knights of Columbus Council #10941, a member of the Plain Township Historical Society as well as the Orbiting Squares square dance club. Bob was a loving husband to Mildred for 54 years before her passing in November of 2004; devoted father to Daniel Goodrich and wife Cheryl of Marysville, OH, Susan Wilt and Keith of New Jersey, Steven Goodrich and wife Merrilee of Westerville, OH, Diane Myers and husband Greg of New Albany, OH and Robert J. Goodrich of New Albany, OH; treasured grandfather of David Goodrich, Dawn Freshwater, Brad Wilt, Carina Wilt, Zachary Wilt, Julie Taylor, Bryan Myers, and Eric Myers; great-grandfather to seven granddaughters and two grandsons and uncle to several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Thursday (Prayer Vigil at 3:30pm and Rosary prior to evening calling hours), December 16, 2010 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E.
