Robert Williams Humphrey, age 57 of Blacklick, affectionately known as "Big Rob" peacefully passed from this life to the next at home Sunday, March 22, 2015. Always one for surprises, even in death Rob was true to himself. Rob drew others to himself by his happy go lucky spirit and his ability to talk to anyone. Foremost in life he loved his family, his eternal bride, Mary, of 32 years, and his four amazing and stunningly beautiful daughters Jennifer (Joseph) King, Kristen, Lyndsey, and Olivia Rose Humphrey. Known as Poppy to his beloved twin grandchildren Giuliana and Grayson King. Originally from Western New York, a true Buffalo Bills fan, Rob was the son of Marjorie Williams Humphrey and the late Donald Humphrey. He will be greatly missed by his cherished sister Susan Brown, and brothers David (fiance, Mary Deane Marshall) and Richard Humphrey as well as step mother Gail Humphrey and step sister Beth Erickson, and many other extended family members and dear friends. Rob relocated to Ohio to pursue his bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering and retired in 2014 from UPS where he worked as an Environmental Engineer. He was creative and had a broad knowledge base, a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed wood working, cars, cooking and entertaining family and friends. We will miss his "Top of the Mornin", his love of Christmas, his sweet kisses, his devotion to his marriage and family and his famous gravy. A memorial service will be held at 12 P.M. Friday, March 27, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service. Father Theodore K, Sill, officiating. Luncheon to follow at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, Gahanna, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to the Letchworth State Park Education Center, 710 Main St, East Aurora, NY 14052.
