Robert Wallace McPherson

Robert Wallace McPherson, age 97 of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021. Bob was born in North Adams, Massachusetts, son of the late Roy and Flora McPherson. He graduated from Drury High School and then went on to proudly serve his country in the US Navy during WWII. Bob loved sports and enjoyed playing golf and skiing. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to Old Saybrook, Connecticut and cruising. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Beverly McPherson; daughter, Julie Hines; grandson, Sam Hines; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. Thomas More Newman Center, 64 W. Lane Ave. To attend Mass via livestream, please visit www.buckeyecatholic.com. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested gifts to be made in memory of Robert's life and military service to the National Veterans Memorial and Museum (NVMM), a non-profit organization in Columbus, Ohio.
