Robert Meckley

Mr. Meckley was born December 15, 1926 in Newark to the late Ronald and Esther Meckley. He died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at his home in Buckeye Lake. He was 83.

Robert is preceded in death by his grandson Lance Everling. He is survived by his wife Amy, children Kim (Mark) Everling, Kelly Hoey of Cols., Doug (Kim) Meckley of Iowa, Penny Schroeder of Wisconsin, John, David, and Lee (Meckley) of Marion; ten grandchildren and one great-grandson; brother Eugene Meckley, sisters-in-law Sandy Snider of Marion, Penny (Gregory) Keith of Athens, brothers-in-law Randy (Sharon) Snider and Benjamin and Larry Parkinson of Newark, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. Special friends Tyler, Patty, and Cheryl.

Robert served his country in the USN in WWII and Korea, loved the outdoors and sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds and the OSU Buckeyes. The family would like to especially thank LanFair Nursing Home and Hospice of Central Ohio for their loving care of Robert.
