Robert Jackson Munger

Robert "Bob" Jackson Munger Jr., 67, of Powell, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 25, 2017 at home, surrounded by his family. Bob was born October 26, 1949 in Quitman, MS to the late Robert and Kathryn (Boone) Munger. Bob was a 1968 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a 1972 graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He traveled extensively through the US and abroad, worked on an oil rig in the Gulf, and in his 40's, became a carpenter and remodeler. His life was his work, and his business card was word-of-mouth. He was a perfectionist, with one-on-one relationships with his clients. Once he worked for someone, they became lifelong clients and friends. Bob is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Caldwell, sister Susan (Dave) Rippel, nephews Dan, Nate and Chris, and their families. The Rippel family all referred to him as "Uncle Bob." Family will receive friends Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 4-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where a funeral service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10 AM.
