Robert D. Nungester, age 77, passed away on March 6, 2019. He was born June 24, 1941 to his parents Cary and Ruth (Schwalbaugh) Nungester in Ashville, Ohio. Robert enjoyed his work as a truck driver as well as his work with the railroad. Bob served honorably in the United States Navy. He married the love of his life Gracie Seevers on November 28, 1960 and they enjoyed 58 years of wonderful marriage together. Bob was a charismatic person who never knew a stranger. He had an incredible vocabulary and ability to talk to anyone. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents. Left to mourn his passing is his devoted wife Gracie Nungester; his children Robert Nungester Jr., Cary (Kaci) Nungester ll and Robin Nungester; his sisters Dink Hardbarger and Mona Toole; as well as 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Cremation will take place following Bob’s wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home.
