Robert H. Pearce

Bob was born on October 9, 1938 in Columbus OH to the late Oakley and Geraldine (Sisk) Pearce. He graduated from North High School class of ’56. He then entered The Ohio State University and received his B.S. Degree in Business. Bob embarked on his career in Human Resources and retired from British Petroleum in Toledo in 1995. In 1997, he graduated from Methesco Seminary in Delaware, OH, and began his calling as a minister with the Methodist Faith, pastoring in the Ohio, and Arizona Conferences, and retiring in 2007.

Bob was an avid Buckeye fan, and a North High Polar Bear. He followed College Sports, especially Football and Basketball. He enjoyed traveling with his wife Mary to the western United States. Bob had a special place in his heart for the less fortunate, and found a spiritual connection helping those who had a difficult time helping themselves. A loving husband, father, grand father, brother, pastor, and friend, he will be missed by all who knew him.

Along with his Wife Mary, Bob is survived by his children; Dorothy (David) Winecoff, Robert O. Pearce, Elizabeth (Jeff) Brown, Leslie (Chuck) Johnson; grandchildren; Christian, Linda, Nick, Corey, Cameron, Molly, Matt, Amanda, Jason, Abby, and CJ; sister Susan (Phil) Soule.

The family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Services will follow at 7:00pm with Bob Petry officiating. Interment will be private.
