

Robert "Bo, Bob" J. Stevenson, age 82, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Kobacker House. Bob graduated from St. Charles Preparatory and received his bachelor's degree from Notre Dame University. He was a licensed chemical dependency counselor. One of his first jobs was with the Franklin County Welfare Department. For the majority of his career, Bob worked at Talbot Hall as an administrator and chemical dependency counselor, retiring in 2012. He continued devoting his time and energy at Talbot Hall as a volunteer where he touched many lives sharing his experience, strength and hope. Bob loved his family, friends and a good story. He will be deeply missed but his memory lives on "A Day at a Time." Preceded in death by his father, J. Lester Stevenson, his mother, Mayme Stevenson, and his wife, Joanne Sabol Stevenson. He is survived by his two sons, James J. (Easton) Stevenson of Chicago and Michael J. (Katie) of Westerville; grandchildren Nate, Ben, Jack, Sarah, and Graham; Sister Jane (Jeff) Ferezan of Goodyear, AZ, Brothers-in-law Robert (Nancy) Sabol of Atlanta, Georgia and Joseph (Anita) Sabol of Minneapolis, MN and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bob's life will be held with visitation 9-10:30am and a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday July 29 at Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Road, New Albany. Fr. Jerome P. Rodenfels and Fr. Timothy Lynch officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bob's memory may be made to The Mid-Ohio Food Bank, St. Charles Preparatory School, or Notre Dame University.
