

Roderick H. Willcox, age 84, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2018. He had a deep passion for his faith and his family. His life was dedicated to his wife of 54 years, family, friends and his law practice. He was a graduate of the Columbus Academy, Williams College and The University of Michigan Law School. He was an usher and member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church and was deeply involved in the Columbus community through many clubs, associations and charities. Rod is preceded in death by his wife Rita, his parents Richard V. Willcox and Marcella R. Willcox. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry (Peter) Hazlewood, Kathy Willcox and Patricia (Scott) Hanna; son, Rod (Tammy) "Spook" Willcox; granddaughters, Lauren Willcox, Mackenzie Hanna, Hannah Willcox and Nicole Hazlewood; grandsons, Jake Willcox, Colby Hanna, and Luke Willcox; sisters, Jeanne W. Whittaker and Marcia W. McHam and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad St., Columbus, OH 43205 where a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018; reception to follow at the Columbus Club, 181 E.
