

Rod joins his father, William Clark in heaven. He is survived by Casey; daughter, Melissa (Michael) Falter; proud Papa to Griffin and Nicholas Falter; mother, Jean Clark; sister, Bonnie Ervin; brother, Bill (Linda) Clark; nieces Shawna (Jeff) Turrick, Carrie (Chad) Hoover, Tera Clark; nephews Chad Clark, Drew (Nicole) Clark; uncle, Billy "Buddy" Timmerman; and many great nieces and nephews. Rod graduated from Mifflin High School in 1961 and from The Ohio State University in 1968 with his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Ceramic Engineering. He first worked for Battelle Institute as an engineer where he worked on advanced materials fabrication processes, including isostatic pressing. He joined Allied Mineral Products in 1972 in Columbus as a territory salesman. During his 25 years with the company, he established sales, marketing and risk management policies and procedures. His travels took him throughout North America, Japan and Europe. Rod was an active member of the American Foundry Society, the American Ceramic Society and other trade organizations. He retired from Allied in 1997 as a Vice President and Risk Manager. He was an excellent athlete and enjoyed intramural basketball, golf and softball with his many friends. He was a member of Brookside Golf and Country Club since 1982. Since retiring there were a few years when he held the distinction of most rounds played during the season. He was one of the most avid golfers around. After his family, Rod's greatest passion was Thee Ohio State University. A member of the OSU President's Club and OSU Boosters, he and Casey also started the Rod and Casey Clark Scholarship Fund. Over the years, they have proudly supported 5 members of the OSU football team. He will be watching their current player from heaven as they play on New Year's Day and enjoying another play on Sundays in the NFL. Go Buckeyes! The family will receive friends 2-5 PM on Sunday, December 27, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Memorial service will be held 12:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at First Community Church, South Campus, 1320 Cambridge Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212.
