Roger Francis Nicklaus

Roger Nicklaus, 73, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at his home Friday, January 27, 2017. He was born December 14, 1943 in Columbus, OH to the late F.W. "Nick" Nicklaus and Melva Lucille (Phelps) Nicklaus. Roger was honorably discharged from the Ohio National Guard and owned and operated Nicklaus Machine Company. He is preceded in death by his brother William "Bill" Nicklaus. Roger is survived by his loving wife Carmen (Shick) Nicklaus; sons, Mike (Jennifer) Nicklaus and Jeremy (Rachel) Nicklaus; grandchildren, Charlie, Max Sophie, Ellen, Catherine, Georgia and Selina Nicklaus; sister, Rita Nicklaus Dudley; nephews, Travis Dudley, and Josh (Sherri) Dudley; great nieces and nephews, Taylor, Brooke, Jamie, Asher and Lydia Dudley; many cousins, extended family and friends; also beloved dogs Sherlock, Lilly and Jake. Family will receive friends 2-8 pm Friday, February 3, 2017 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., where the funeral service will be held at 10 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017.
