Roger J. White

Roger Jay White, age 96, passed away surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Roger was born on August 15, 1929 in Erie County, Pennsylvania to the late Raymond and Effie (Harrington) White. He was also preceded in death by his brother Maurice White; sister Louise White Terry; and wife Eileen White. Roger was a graduate of The Ohio State University and was a loyal fan of the Buckeyes. He served his country as a United States Marine. He was a longtime member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. Roger was a stockbroker for 55 years for Paine-Webber, which is now UBS. He was an avid golf and tennis player and member of Sertoma and the first member of New Albany Country Club. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Roger was a kind and generous man, who was greatly beloved. Roger will be deeply missed by his loving wife Barbara Smith Weisenbach; daughter Melissa Ann White; granddaughter Cady Elizabeth Alexandra; great-grandchildren Tristan, Charlotte and Rebecca Legentus; stepsons Stephen and Phillip Weisenbach; stepdaughter Nancy Weisenbach Coldren; 8 step-grandchildren; and many step-great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, UA 43221. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 1088 Thomas Lane, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
