Ronald T. Barrick

Ron was a graduate of South High School, Class of 1960. He went on to work for Jantrol Aero Aircraft with many years of dedicated service. Recently, he spent 12 years as a Bus Driver with Gahanna Public Schools. And he loved it! An avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and supporter of Gahanna Athletics, Ron enjoyed taking kids to games and other sporting events. He enjoyed doting on his grandchildren. And was active with the Gahanna Senior Center.

He is survived by his loving family: children Stephan “Andy” Barrick, Lisa (Michael Amspaugh) Barrick, Ryan (Nicole) Barrick, Adam Barrick and Molly Barrick; two step children Scott and Shauna Lambert; grandchildren Wayne Barrick, Makayla Barrick and Austyn Amspaugh; brother Donald P. Barrick; numerous nieces and nephews; former wives, Catherine Barrick and Berta Barrick. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Doris Marie Wickett and Shirley Mae Daniels.

Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Monday at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road in Gahanna, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Gahanna Lincoln Athletics (where checks may be made payable to), 140 S. Hamilton Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230, in his memory.
