

Ronald Dean Caudill (Westerville Ohio) went home peacefully to be with the Lord at 9:55 p.m. on March 7 , 2020 surrounded by his children and grandchildren. Ron was born in Paintsville, Kentucky on November 27th 1944 at home in the house built by his father. His father Ray was a coal miner and worked hard everyday of his life and Ron took after this example. Ron graduated from Meade High school in Paintsville where he was an avid basketball player. He was always excited to share that he was 2nd cousin of the Queen of Country Music Lorreta Lynn (webb) from the same area. Ron joined the US army in 1965 and retired as a Command Sergeant Major after 27 years of service, served as president of the National Contract Management Association and also retired from Mid-State Sales after 30+ years of service in Defense Contracting. Ron was a member of the American legion where he served as publicist and chaplain. He really enjoyed OSU sports, and loved the Columbus Crew. Similarly, he loved coaching his kids soccer teams and supporting/ watching them play when they were in school. Ron was a patriot and loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart, mind and strength and grew in his love of others. He loved sharing his faith with those around him and didn't know a stranger when he was out and about. At his final residence, Wesley Glen in New Albany the staff and friends their loved him and said that he was very impactful on their lives and vice versa! To him his greatest accomplishment in life will always be his children. Josh says Ron was a constant driving force in his life and deeply impactful! Allison wants everyone to know he was a loving dad. Dean says that he is proud of Ronald's deep commitment to the Lord that passed to his children. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Bethel Caudill. He is survived by his children Dean (Tonya) Caudill, Josh, Allison, grandchildren from Dean are Ian( Kayla), Natalie, Kristen, Matthew, Nathaniel and Grayson, also Sisters Linda (Ron) Cason, Ruthie Caudill, Brenda Labonte, nephews Mike, Brian and John.
Services to honor Ron will be Friday March 13th at the Schoedinger Funeral Home 6699 N. High St. Worthington Ohio. The service is being officiated by Pastor Tom Tucker, visitation will be at 11 a.m. funeral at 1, burial will follow
