Ronald Wayne Cottrill

Ronald W. Cottrill, age 49, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009. Ron was born on December 31, 1959 in Columbus, Ohio. Ron is preceded in death by father, Ronald W. Cottrill, Sr. and sister, Roxanne Cottrill. He is survived by his loving wife, N. Yevonne Cottrill; children, Lynnette Cottrill, Angie Cotrill and Mandy Cottrill; step children, Lori (Keith) Caseboldt, Eric Harrington, Jeffrey (April) Harrington, Mitchell Cowgill and Stacey (Justin) Julian; grandchildren, Ashley, Rubin, Baylee, Zoe and Ellie; mother and step-father, Kendra & Benjamin Wyckoff; siblings, Cheryl Stevens-Berry, Deborah Howland, Marcia McKinley and Lawrence E. “Larry” Cottrill; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ron was president of the Cobra CB Club in Johnstown, Ohio, band member of Southern Time Band, Truck Driver Team Award in 1989 and 1990 with Glick’s Furniture, Motorcycle Award at Redeemers Church in 2001, avid race car driver and car show enthusiast, 2004 Demolition Derby Winner in Croton, Ohio and helped raise money for the needy with Angels in Action in Newark, Ohio. Ron was last employed at Dayton Freight in Columbus, Ohio.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 10am-12noon at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 East Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio 43230; where funeral service will be at 12 noon. Pastor Don Fetherolf officiating. Interment to follow at Kirkersville Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Ron’s daughters, Lynnette, Angie and Mandy Cottrill.
