Ronald A. Domijan

Ron graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1985 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was employed by the City of Columbus Police Department from 1987 until his retirement in 2004. He worked as a network manager and IT consultant from 2004-2011. Since 2011, he served as a senior IT manager with Porter Wright Morris & Arthur, LLP.

Ron was larger than life in every way. He played college football, served as a police officer, and later became a respected IT leader. He was an incredible cook who took real joy in making his family’s favorite meals. Ron loved good bourbon and had a knack for mixing the perfect cocktail. He was a curious reader, a passionate gardener, and someone who found joy in exploring new places.

A loyal sports fan through and through, Ron never missed a home Ohio State football game, stuck by the Chicago Bears no matter what, cheered for the Crew, and proudly supported his son’s soccer teams. He could fix anything, from the smallest household repairs to full-scale home renovations. He loved riding his bike and was training for what would have been his third 50-mile Pelotonia ride.

He was a true neighbor and friend to everyone he met, always eager to lend a hand or share a laugh. More than all of this, Ron was a devoted husband and father. He showed his unwavering love and support to his family every single day.

Ron’s presence, strength, and kindness will be profoundly missed by his wife Nikki Betts, his son Quinlen Betts Domijan, his daughter Jessa (Josh) Gary, his grandchildren Liam and Ellie Gary, his mother Laureen Domian, his in-laws Joyce and Charles Betts, his siblings Suzanne (Hal) Pate and Laura Jo (Jarred Nelson) Taylor, his brother-in-law Joel (Chrissy Koriakin) Betts, his sister-in-law Molly (Jeff Scholl) Betts, his beloved dog Super Mario, as well as his niece, nephews, and many friends.

Ron was preceded in death by his father Frank Domian, his sister Toni Justiss, and his niece Rebecca Justiss.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a visitation will follow until 5 PM.
