Ronald L. Gladman

Ron was a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he was in the ROTC and played JV baseball. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain, stationed at Anchorage, Alaska. Ron started his career after the USAF as a high school teacher and coach and later obtained his Chartered Life Underwriter certification. He then worked in sales and served as an executive in the insurance industry. Ron was a member of the Northwest United Methodist Church, the Ohio State University Golf Club, and was a Mason. Ron loved spending time with his family, especially his precious granddaughters. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, working out at the gym and watching all sports, particularly his beloved Buckeyes. Ron will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help others.

Preceded in death by his parents, Ellis Gladman, Erma Gladman, and sister, Betty. Ron will be missed by his loving wife of 49 years, Kay; sons, Michael (Marjorie) Gladman and Robert (Elaine) Gladman; granddaughters, Scarlett Elaine and Sophie Lee; step-mother, Margaret; half-brothers, Terry, Steven, and Damon; half-sisters, Jeanie and Janie; and niece and nephew, Lynn and Kevin McMillan.

Family will receive friends Sunday, August 19, 2012 from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH 43221. Private burial will be held.
