Ronnie C. Simpson

Ronnie C. Simpson, age 65, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born September 29, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Calvin L. and Juber "Jean" (Bailey) Simpson; also preceded in death by his father-in-law William Neil Marsh. Ron was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of Reynoldsburg VFW Post #9473. He was a Special Forces Ranger and served in the 101st Airborne. Ron retired from Value City Furniture and maintained his love of woodworking and fixing furniture. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Trina (Marsh) Simpson; mother-in-law Marlene Marsh; brother-in-law Jeff (Clarine) Marsh; niece Amber (Steve) Fasig; great-nieces Jamie and Aleks Fasig; many good friends. Family will welcome friends from 2-5pm Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where services will be held at 1pm Monday; interment to follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate; Andrew Hoover, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Capital City Chapter 3, P.O. Box 15144, Columbus, OH 43215 or to Friends of the Shelter (helping sick and injured dogs) at P.O. Box 307450, Columbus, OH 43230.
