Rosa Glitt Conley

Rosa Glitt Conley, 92, of Circleville, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Pickaway Manor. She was born November 28, 1921 in Portsmouth, Ohio, the daughter of Willie T. and Dora (Music) Spradlin. She was the sixth of nine children. Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Joseph Nelson Glitt in 1966; second husband, Ralph Conley in 2007; siblings, Alma Shure, Burlie Spradlin, Clarence Spradlin, Eva Speicher, Daisy Robinson, Raleigh Spradlin, Ruth Wilson and Flora Murphy. Rosie was a member of the Circleville Nazarene Church and enjoyed being with her family, gardening, crafts, cooking, collecting bears and watching ball games. She and her first husband, Joe Glitt, had owned and operated Glitt's Grocery at the corner of Franklin and Mingo (now occupied by Wilson Plumbing). After Joe's passing, Rosie went to work at Orient and retired from there.

Rosie is survived by her daughters, Sandra Kay "Sandy" Williams and Dianna Lee Glitt; granddaughter, Kaylee (Dalan Miller) Williams, grandson, Johnnie Williams; great

grandchildren, Sabrena Kay Funk, Nadia Rosa Marie Miller, Landen Michael Widmayer and a new baby due in March; also several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sally and Darrell Dumm and Ruth Fleming.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Rev. William Hill officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery.
