

On Wednesday, March 26, 2025, Rose Marie (Wagner) DiMasi of Clearwater, FL, died unexpectedly in Dublin, OH. ‘Rose’ was born on December 26, 1939, in Erie, PA, and was raised by her loving parents, Sadie M. and and Gustave J. Wagner Jr. at 907 E. 28th St., Erie. She attended Villa Maria Academy, then went on to St. Vincent School of Nursing and would become supervising nurse in the St. Vincent Emergency Room. It is there where she met her loving husband of 63 years, Dr. Robert E. DiMasi, D.O, of Erie, who preceded her in death in 2024. She would eventually become a full-time mother to her surviving three children, son, Dr. Robert E. DiMasi, Jr., D.O., of Clearwater, FL (grandchildren Andrew & Isabella), her daughter, Carolyn Jackson of Leesburg, VA, (grandchildren Martin, Liam & Cameron) and her son, Brian DiMasi (Heather) of Dublin, Ohio (grandchildren Caleb, Gail Elizabeth, Gabriella, Ava & Gemma). In addition to being the proud and loving grandmother to her 10 grandchildren, she also had 5 great-grandchildren: Lillian, Jude, Lincoln, Joseph and Isobel. Rose later worked as a Registered Nurse at the Community Blood Bank in Erie. She also played an active role in serving her community as President of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Auxiliary and Chairman of the Chester Heights Garden Club, where she led the coordination of a multitude of fundraising and outreach events. She was an avid golfer playing both at Lawrence Park Club in Erie and Cove Cay Golf Club in Clearwater. During her retirement years she continued to play a leading role in organizing community events. Rose loved people, flowers and was a bird enthusiast seeing each as gifts from God and to be appreciated. She will be sadly missed and remembered for her warm smile, kind heart and ability to brighten a room wherever she ventured. A funeral service will take place at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church in Clearwater, FL on Saturday, June 28th at 11 o’clock in the morning. A Celebration of Life will follow at Cove Cay Golf Club in Clearwater, FL from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
