

Rosemary Solomon, 96, of Columbus, passed away on April 22, 2026. She was born in Pickaway County, Ohio on August 15, 1929, to the late Thomas and Eva (Starkey) Noble. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Solomon; daughter Rita Jean (Alan) Cook; grandson Bryan Cook; brother Donald (Carol) Noble; sister Carolyn (Richard) Phillips; brothers-in-law James Peters, James Solomon, and Dennis Lupher; father and mother-in-law Charles and Leola Solomon; nephew Douglas Noble; niece Vicki Basbagel.
Rosemary graduated from Pickerington High School in 1947 where she was voted Homecoming Queen her senior year. After graduation she went to work at City National Bank (now Chase Bank) where she worked until 1956. After her children were raised, she was employed by J.C. Penney Company and retired there after twenty-six years. After retiring she volunteered at Doctors Hospital for ten years. Rosemary was a faithful member of The Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Gahanna for over 60 years.
Rosemary will be greatly missed by her daughter Michele (Nicholas) Stravelakis; brother Robert (Mary Beth) Noble; sister Naomi Peters; sisters-in-law Doris Solomon and Mary Ann Lupher; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service for Rosemary will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 1:00pm at Schoedinger Northwest. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30am until the start of the service. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
