Roy Allen Silcott

September 3, 1948 - February 5, 2020

Roy Allen Silcott, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 71. Graduated from South High School and was a lifelong resident of the Southside. He was preceded in death by parents, Jacob and Helen (Cupp) Silcott; brother, Richard Silcott; and dear friend Daniel Bailey. Sadly missed and survived by his son, Roy Silcott; daughters, Bridgett (John) Mogan and Andrea (Scott) Daugherty; grandchildren, Heather, Joseph, Christopher, Rachel, Megan, John John, Matthew, Allison, Maryah, Alyssa, and Rory; 15 great-grandchildren; and all that loved him. Roy was a dedicated father, grandpa "G-Dad", and friend. Roy worked for Jeffery Manufacturing for 30 years and retired from the Columbus Dispatch. Roy was loved by all and will be extremely missed. He was a fixture in many of our lives on a daily basis and there will definitely be a huge void. Roy was always full of life and lived for spending time with his family. He loved walking with his pal, Toby and shopping for watches at many local thrift stores. The family will receive friends and family from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, where Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday.
