

Roy Henry Young, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Roy was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on October 6, 1930 to Herbert George and Christina (MacIntyre) Young. Roy served the United States proudly in the US Army/Air Force for 23 years during the Vietnam War. Roy had a passion for education and received his Master's Degree from George Washington University and his PhD from The Ohio State University. He used his love of teaching to change the lives of the students at Franklin Height High School. Roy also enjoyed reading, computers, golf, collecting stamps and coins. He was a member and former Lt. Governor of the Kiwanis Club and SCORE - Counselors to America's Small Business. Roy is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Ken, Don and Dorothy Young. Survived by his loving wife, Paulette Young and daughter, Mary- Christine Young; several nieces and nephews living in Canada and France. Private cremation has been entrusted to the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME by SCHOEDINGER, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.
