Ruby Frances Varner

Ruby F. "Pixie" Varner, age 78, passed away at home on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was born on May 5, 1940 in Johnson County, KY to the late William and Marie Mollette. Ruby enjoyed dancing, gardening, traveling the world, watching movies, and playing Jeopardy. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Salyers and Robert Varner; son, Gregory Salyers, and step-son, Jon Varner. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Barbara) Salyers; step-daughters, Beth (Wayne) Davis and Deborah (Gregg) Krentz; grandchildren, Rebekah (Eric) Salyers Hess, Rachel Salyers, Jonathan (Hannah) Davis, Christopher Davis, Jim (Donna) Marzolf, and Sarah (Matt) Christiansen; great-grandchildren, Ella, Greta, Anna, Kevin, Lauren, and Lexi. Family will receive friends 2:00 - 3:00 pm Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the memorial service will begin at 3:00pm.
