Survived by his wife of 48 years, Erma G. Brobst; daughter, Teresa (Bryan) Janzen; grandsons, Jacob and Noah Janzen of Idaho, Caleb Brobst of Pennsylvania; granddaughters, Ellie Brobst of Pennsylvania, and Zoe Brobst of Ohio; step-granddaughters, Mackenzie and Mallory Stonebreaker of Ohio.
Russell was employed at Ohio State University in the Physical Facilities Department as an Electrician II for almost 31 years and retired from OSU in 2009.
Russell loved his family beyond measure. His favorite hobbies were his model trains, reading, and spending time with his family and grandkids.
Due to Covid-19, there will not be a visitation or funeral service. His ashes will be committed in a private service at a later date. Arrangements are through SCHOEDINGER NORTH.
