Ruth Andreas

Ruth Ann Andreas, age 81, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018. She was born to the late Paul and Francis Andreas in Mt. Vernon, OH. In addition to her parents, Ruth is preceded in death by her sisters Joyce (Charlie) Campbell, Mary Lou (Jim) Degnan, and Geraldine Andreas. Ruth was a longtime member of Vineyard Church of Columbus. She also tremendously enjoyed her Treasures of the Heart and Crossroads Baptist bible study groups. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her love of traveling, and her likeness to Lucille Ball. Ruth was enthusiastic about volunteering and always made time for the people around her, unless she was taking part in the activities and crafting that she took very seriously in her living communities. She was never one to miss a party. Ruth married the late Charles Erdman Jr., and adored her 4 loving children, Paula Elliott, Beth (Kelly) Case, Greg (Alex) Erdman, and Sharon (Scott) Brisbin. In addition to her children, Ruth is survived by her grandchildren, KP Elliott, Garrett (Jenna) Brisbin, Logan (April) Brisbin, and Alivia Brisbin; brother, Paul (Betty) Andreas; sister, Martha (Gene)Timko; and many wonderful friends and relatives. Family will receive friends from 12-2 pm Sunday, July 29, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 pm. Pastor Paul Gabriel officiating. In lieu of flowers, family would like to acknowledge Ohio Hospital for Psychiatry for the care and compassion that was given therefor donations may be made to mental health awareness.
