

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; Samuel and Suzy Pigg, brothers; Dan and Kenny Pigg, and granddaughter; Brooke Nicole Thompson.
Ruth was a devoted mother, surviving of two daughters, Loralyn (Tom) Mango and Susan (Ron) Thompson. Both adopted at birth, they were her whole world along with her grandchildren; David (Torrie) Mango, Michael Mango, Ana Maria (Tippie-toes) Mango and Brooke (Tiger Tail) Thompson, great grandchildren; Bennett Reid Mango and Kennedy Rae Mango. She is also survived by her siblings; Virginia Kilburn, Virgie Mae Renner, Don (Libby) Pigg and Oliver Pigg, several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews, a large circle of friends as well as a second family, The Burnley Court friends and kids. She loved you all!
Ruth was born in Berea, Kentucky but was a resident of Columbus, Ohio, which made her a big Buckeye fan. Her hobbies included cooking, watching college football and basketball, along with, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. No one left Ruth's house feeling hungry or unloved. Ruth was a social butterfly and knew everyone. She always had to the ability to make time for people and put a smile on their face. Ruth retired from Mt. Carmel St. Anns where she worked in the Radiology Department until she retired in 2008.
Ruth Ann chose to donate her body to Ohio State Anatomy Department, and she will be interred at Alton Cemetery later date.
The family will also host a celebration of life in honor of Ruth at a date to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The March of Dimes foundation or Mid-Ohio Food bank or simply remembering her with a smile and chuckle are all appreciated.
