Ruth Helms

Ruth Helms, 71, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was born on December 14, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Charles and Elizabeth McCammon. She is preceded in death by her son Tommy, step-father Alonzo Barrows; step-brother Donald Barrows; and daughter-in-law Michelle Helm. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Tom; sons Donnie (Patty), Kevin (Christine), and Scott (Carrie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Christyna, Rich, Christian, Danielle, Brandon, Alexis, Brian, Bruce, Rylan, Kayla, Terie; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Ruth was a devoted wife and mother to four boys. She could be considered a saint to try and raise four boys. She taught her boys to always take life as it came and have respect for others. Ruth never met a stranger, it didn't matter where she was at the time. She had a passion for crocheting and fishing. She loved to play cards and board games with her sons and grandchildren. Euchre and 500 rummy were her go to card games. Over the years Ruth had many dogs that she loved and recently she enjoyed the occasional visit from a friendly neighborhood squirrel. A Visitation will be held on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4PM - 8PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 10 AM.
