Ruth Hoskins

Ruth Hoskins, age 86, a resident of Winchester Place, went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2014. She was born November 29, 1927 in Shelbyville, Tennessee to the late Robert and Bessie Armstrong; also preceded in death by brothers William and Jesse Armstrong. Ruth worked as a bookkeeper and tax preparer with the Schottenstein Corp. and Universal Tax Service. She was a member of Linworth Baptist Church and former member of Karl Rd. Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed gardening, playing cards and keeping up with what was new and exciting in her grandchildren’s lives. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Hoskins; daughters, Betty (Henry) Britt and Becky (Keith) Ware; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother Francis (Louise) Armstrong; extended family and friends. Funeral Services for Ruth will begin at 1:30pm Friday, February 21, 2014 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232 where family will welcome friends from 12-1pm; interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. “Life is short.
