

Ruth E. “Betty” (Lang) Neely, died on Monday, April 12, 2010, in Columbus. Born on June 8, 1930, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John T. Neely, Jr.; parents, Andrew and Lillian (Nance) Lang; sister, Martha; brothers, Andy Lang, Jr., Mark Lang, Sr., and Bernard Lang; and son, Charles Neely. She is survived by 3 sons and their families, Robert (Glenda) of Gahanna, William (Rose) of Yellowstone, Mont., and Michael (Mary Ann) of Bozeman, Mont.; and daughter-in-law, Connie Neely of Malta, Ohio. Betty was a graduate of Sacred Heart Business School and retired from Mid Ohio Allergy Group. She was a former member of St. Anthony Choir, Vaud-Villities, and Rockwell Mixed Chorus. Born and raised in Columbus, she lived in Nokomis, Fla., for 8 years. She is also survived by 5 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 1 great-granddaughter, 1 great-grandson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends, both in Columbus and Nokomis. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010, at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church, 807 Havens Corner Road, Gahanna.
