Ruth James Newman

Ruth James Newman. Born July 22, 1922 in White Haven, PA, she was the daughter of Paul Joseph Aselin and Grace Ruth Aselin. Ruth graduated from Roselle Park High School in Roselle Park, NJ and Ambler Horticultural College in PA. Ruth was a woman ahead of her time, taking Yoga and auto mechanic classes at the YWCA in the 1960’s and learning how to successfully invest in the stock market. She was an accomplished artist in sculpture, painting and ceramics. Ruth lived in Mountainside, NJ, Winston Salem, NC and Belgrade Lakes, ME. She is preceded in death by husbands, Paul James and Bob Newman; and daughter-in-law, Marilyn James. Ruth is survived by sons, Dick and Bob (Dianne) James; daughter, Lynda (Rich) Murray; four grandchildren, Clark, Robert and Sarah James and David Murray; and four great grandchildren, Caroline, William, Henry and Elliott James. Private services will be held for the family.
