

Ruth E. Skeen, passed away September 11, 2015 in Lancaster, Ohio, of natural causes. She was born in Republic, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Wynona Foreman; her loving husband, William Skeen; sisters, Marjorie (Stan) Crossley and Mary (John) Gilman; daughter, Janet Borden and son-in-law, Dean Montoney. Survived by daughter, Carol Montoney; granddaughters, Heidi (Borden) Day of Reynoldsburg, Jennifer (Tom) Mox of Canal Winchester, Carrie Montoney of Columbus, and grandsons, Doug (Suzanne) Borden of Tipp City and Tim (Nicole) Montoney of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Meagan (Will Sheard) Day, Noelle Day, Stephanie Snyder and Malcolm Montoney; son-in-law, Steve Borden; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great-grand dog, Moxie D. Mox. She was a long-time member of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. She was a 1937 graduate of East High School. Ruth took college-level bookkeeping courses in high school which led to a long career in bookkeeping before her 27 year career as secretary at Woodcrest Elementary School. Ruth was an avid sports fan with a true passion for the Buckeyes exceeded only by her love for her family and friends. Visitation will be held 6-8 pm Tuesday at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church, 1636 Graham Rd. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068 with visitation 1 hour prior to the time of service. Interment to follow at Forest Rose Cemetery in Lancaster, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ruth's memory to Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church.
