

Ruthanna Heselton, age 86, of Upper Arlington, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Kobacker House. She was born November 5, 1925 in Morrow County, Ohio, daughter of the late Hubert and Pearl (Windsor) Westbrook. Ruthanna is survived by her husband of 65 years, Loren E.; children, Shelley (Patrick) McWherter, Craig (Linda) Heselton, all of Columbus, Kyle (Billy) Rippy, of Show Low, AZ; grandchildren, Larry (Wendy), Len (Laura), Guy (Christine), Craig (Jennifer), Keith (Julie) McWherter, Joy (Doug) Danison, Gabriel (Emily) Heselton, Jennifer (Alain) Aguilar and Kathryn (John) DiPietro; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great-great granddaughters; sister, Margaret Parks; nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard and Herschel Westbrook. She was a graduate of Delaware Hayes High School. She was a talented seamstress and a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ruthanna worked for many years in the cafeteria at Hastings Middle School, Upper Arlington Schools. A longtime member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, she formerly was an active volunteer as a Sunday School teacher and founding seamstress for the infant baptismal napkins at the church. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger Rd. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2012 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road. Pastor David Drumel officiating. Interment at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
