Ryan Thomas Lawrence

Ryan Thomas Lawrence, age 40, of Westerville, Ohio passed suddenly from this life into the glorious presence of the Lord, on August 1, 2018 while vacationing in Ocean City, MD. Ryan was born May 31, 1978 in Westminster, MD to Thomas and Ellen (Thomas) Lawrence. He graduated from Francis Scott Key High School, Union Bridge, MD, class of '96 and in 2000, received a bachelor's degree from the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, where he participated on the Salisbury sailing team; he also enjoyed scuba diving. As a self-proclaimed "computer geek", Ryan spent over twenty years working in information technology with Stanley Black and Decker and was currently employed by NetJets. His jobs allowed him wonderful opportunities for world-wide travel where he enjoyed experiencing different cultures. No matter where he lived, church community was always very important to Ryan; he was currently active at Vineyard Church of Columbus - Westerville, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife of 12 years, Christin (Fenton) Lawrence; beloved children, Sophia Mei Li (age 8), Adeline Josephine (age 6) and Oliver Hailiang (age 4); sister Stephanie Lawrence; mother-in-law Emily (Jerry) Morgan; brother-in-law Scott (Beth) Fenton with Meredith and Evan; sister-in-law Kathleen (Don) Liles with Benjamin, Samuel, William and Andrew; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Paul "Roger" Fenton. Family will welcome friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, August 10, 2018 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where the funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday; interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park; Pastor Rich Nathan officiating.
