Samuel L. Farb

Samuel L. Farb, Jr., age 47 of Westerville, Ohio, passed away suddenly Saturday, September 24, 2011. He was born at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, April 15, 1964 to Karen (Kay) Roehner and Samuel L. Farb, Sr. On that day, the world became a better place. Sam graduated Thomas Worthington High School in 1983 and Mars Hill College, North Carolina in 1989. In college, he played soccer and intramural sports. Sam worked at SLF Insurance Agency, Inc., with his father for 22 years. Sam was owner of Group Consultants Agency Inc., with his fiancé and best friend, Katherine A. Sabatina, who survives. Preceded in death by grandparents, Andrew and Helen Parker and Uncle Vaughn Parker. Sam will be sadly missed by his father, Samuel L. Farb, Sr., (Rosalyn), mother, Karen (Kay) Roehner (Gerry), sister, Suzanne R. Newlon and children Jordan V. Newlon and Sedonna R. Newlon, step sister, Amy Merola (Dave) and children, Dave and Ava. Aunt Sandra McBride, Uncle Phil Farb (Kay), Uncle Richard Parker (Shelia), Aunt Jean Flohre (Mark), Katherine E. Sabatina (moma-sabo) and many cousins and friends. Sam had a great sense of humor and was liked by everyone that knew him. He was a wonderful, caring, kind, and compassionate person. He had many friends young and old. He loved playing golf, bird watching, animals, fishing, cooking and playing gin with Jimmy, Guy and his father. He was an avid Ohio State University & Cincinnati Bengals fan. He will be deeply missed and always remembered in our hearts for his laughter, love and companionship. Family will receive friends from 11:30-2 and from 5-7 Thursday, September 29, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where a prayer service will begin at 7 P.M.
