Samygene Bauchmire

Samygene Bauchmire, age 91, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Country Club Rehabilitation Center in Delaware, Ohio. She was born June 15, 1925 in Burkburnett, Texas to the late Lessie June (Gregg) and Samuel Raines Varner. She was valedictorian of her graduating class at Orange High School in Orange, Texas. Samy was a long-term member of Maize Manor United Methodist Church since 1962. She volunteered for the Food Pantry for over 20 years and was also active in the women's Joy Circle. Samy worked for The American Legion for over 17 years and retired in 1987. She shared her husband's passion for fishing, was an avid bowler for numerous years, and was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by loving husband of 60 years, Jack Allen Bauchmire; grandson, Matthew DiCesare and sisters, Ellen Keel and June Lopes. Samy is survived by her beloved children, Bruce (Laurie) Bauchmire and Vickie DiCesare; grandchildren, Rob (Nicole) Bauchmire, Ashley Bauchmire and Anthony DiCesare; great-grandchildren, Bram and Grace Bauchmire; sister, Dorothy James; nieces, nephews, special Maize Manor friends, Louise Grimes, Norma Brisbin, and Marilyn Paulsen; - and good friends. Family will receive guests Friday, September 30, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio where a funeral service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park in Lewis Center, Ohio.
