Sandra Kay Curnutte

Sandra Kay Curnutte, age 62, of Patriot, Ohio, was called home to be with the Lord on January 25, 2017. She was born on July 8, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Donald Burt and Joy Lea (Canterbury) Matthews. Sandra devoted her entire life to raising her children, spoiling her grandchildren, loving her family, and supporting her friends. Those who knew her would often describe her as spunky, sassy, free willed, stubborn, strong, kind, caring, loyal, loving, inspiring, and simply amazing. She was certainly all of those and more over the course of her life, but in the end she was simply a woman devoted to Christ who had a strong desire for learning the Word of God, and a deep passion for sharing it with everyone she came into contact with. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her husband Larry Grant Curnutte; brothers Donald Burt and Larry Allen Matthews; sisters Donna Lea Huff and Patricia Gail France; grandson Trentton Scott Curnutte; and brother and sister-in-law Everett and Peggy Curnutte.

She is survived by daughter Sherry (Kenneth) Hammond, son Larry Grant Curnutte Jr; grandchildren, Johnathon and Kayla Hammond, Travis, Gabriel, and Hannah Curnutte, and Brent Champion; siblings, Sally (Bill) Moore, Marsha (Ronnie) Glover, and Keith Matthews; sister and brother-in-laws, Mildred Curnutte, Ernestine (Dean) Douglas, Diana (Johnny) May, Judith (Andrew) Mullins, John Curnutte, and Samuel (Joyce) Curnutte; along with many nieces, nephews and friends. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 11am-12pm at Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway, Grove City, Ohio 43123 where a funeral service will follow at 12pm.
