Sandra C. Peck/Barnes

Sandra C. Peck/Barnes, age 74, died of Pancreatic Cancer on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the loving home of her daughter and son-in-law. She was born August 13, 1941 in Dorothy, WV to the late Charles H. and Christine E. (Sherwood) Hunter and is also preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald E. Peck; sister, Andrea Condos; niece, Kimberly Bunce; and she was devastated by the loss of her son, Ronald E. Peck II and daughter, Tonya Peck/Gardner. Sandra is survived by her husband, Forrest D. Barnes; daughter, Sonya (Eli) Peck/Matalon; grandchildren, Amber, Joshua, Zack, Nick, Ronnie, Kylie, Michael, Cameron, and Joseph; and ten great-grandchildren. The love of her life was Payton Brown her three year old great-granddaughter who helped her through the dark days of recently losing her two children! Sandra loved going to Myrtle Beach to golf and hang out with friend Joyce Ditello, talks and a cold Coke with friend Loretta Albert. Special thank you to long-time friends Gloria and Brenda Eyer who gave so much of their time and love to bring joy and laughter of the good ole days! Thank you to her travel buddies, her sister cousins Charlene Barch, Sharon Anderson, Wilma Wyatt, and Sue Laferty. Thank you for the love from cousins Sheila Marks and Pam Dean, Sandra's nephew Chris Condos that she loved like a son, and many other family and friends whom she loved dearly. Sandra was a life-long resident of Gahanna and spent many years in Gahanna little league football and all the friends of the neighborhood she met along the way who became family! Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Friday, February 19 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna where the Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. Rocky Pentello officiating. Sandra just wanted to have the rest of her life peaceful but was unable to have it here on earth by the ones she thought loved her!
