Sara Jane Scott

Sara Jane Scott, age 79 of Columbus, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019. Sara was born and raised in Chillicothe, Ohio, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Peters. Also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Stranathan and Sue Montavon, former husbands, Neil Fisher and Wilbur Scott, and faithful companion, Molly. Sara graduated from Chillicothe High School, Class of 1957. Following high school, Sara went on to graduate from White Cross Hospital, Class of 1961, where she earned her nursing diploma. She later went back to school and graduated from Ohio University, Class of 1991, where she earned her BSN. Sara had a long and dedicated career in nursing. She worked for Riverside Hospital for more than 20 years and retired from Jobs and Family Services working over 10 years. She was a past member of the Eastern Star. She will be missed by her children, Natalie (Mel Fuhrmann) Fisher and Chris (Jennifer) Fisher; nephew, Paul (Jill) Montavon; and other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., where family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until time of service Sunday.
