Sarah N. Mays, age 72, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010. She was born January 21, 1938 in Montgomery, AL to the late Ewell and Jessie Henderson. Sarah is survived by her husband of 26 years, Roosevelt Mays; children, Samuel Martin, Sherry (Billy) Frazier, Deborah (Ellis) Smith, Vickie Martin, Jessie Poythress, Phillip Martin Sr., Lynette Martin, Cottrell Marshall Jr., Wendy Marshall, and Jeffery Marshall; step-son Robert Smith, step-daughter Diane Boone, special niece, Ethel Goode; 29 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Thursday, May 20 at The New Generation Church, 1173 Essex Ave., Columbus where funeral service will be held at 12 noon.
