A Munroe Falls resident in his younger years, Scott attended Stow-Munroe Falls High School where he played drums in the marching band.
As an adult, Scott moved to Columbus and valiantly served in law enforcement for more than 16 years. He first served as a volunteer in the city of Gahanna. The majority of his service was in Sharon Township, Ohio. He retired as a sergeant in 2014 due to health concerns.
He was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed camping, shooting, and hiking. His family was always a priority, and he enjoyed spending time with them in these activities as well as many others.
A gamer all his life, Scott enjoyed playing video games, Dungeons and Dragons, euchre, and more. He was extremely gifted in word games like scrabble. He loved science fiction and history including Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Ancient Aliens, and Harry Potter.
Scott is survived by his wife, Michele (Fernandez) and his three children, Miranda (28), Andrew (25), and Elizabeth (22). He was looking forward to welcoming Alex Klink as his new son-in-law, this Fall. He is also survived by his parents, Rebecca (Powell) and Norman; his mother-in-law, Joan; and three sisters in law, two brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He was comforted over the years by a plethora of pets including his current cats Buckeye, Gremlin, Ferdinand, and Samira, and his dog, Dobbie.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnel for Towers Foundation (t2t.org) or to supporting his children’s education.
