Scott L. Worden

Scott L. Worden, 64, of Dublin, formerly of Pickerington, left us to be with Jesus on Thursday, November, 13, 2014. Scott was our Superman! He was a devout Christian man who was the best husband, dad and grandpa/papaw there could ever be. Born Dec. 14, 1949 to Frank and Thelma Worden, both deceased and was also preceded in death by Stephen Smith, brother-in-law and his precious little Shih-Tzu, Chrissie. Scott fought a valiant battle with a rare cancer for 12 long years and every new day was a blessing. He was survived by the love his life and best friend for 46 glorious years… his wife, Sharon K. Smith Worden. Also survived by his adoring daughters, Andrea Cooper and Joelle Smith (Chris); and his grandchildren Kylie Cooper (Fiance – Jordan Perkins), and Korey Cooper and Alexa Smith who he treasured beyond words (and loved to tease), Sister-in-law Paula Smith; nephews Brad Smith and Ben Smith (Maribell) and Niece, Stephanie Smith as well as aunt Dottie and several cousins. Scott had a wonderful 40 year career with Abbott Labs earning many awards! After retirement, he worked his fun part-time jobs with Manheim Auto Auction and Lindsay Honda. First and foremost, he loved his family!!! Then came bible studies, travel and The Ohio State Buckeyes, (including tailgating and attending both home and away games)! Scott was a member of Peace United Methodist Church serving on various committees for over 20 years. The family would like to thank our Hospice nurse, Amber for being our special ‘angel’ during this difficult time. Scott will be greatly missed until we all meet again someday in heaven. Friends may call Sunday 1-3pm at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. Following calling hours, Scott will be taken to PEACE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 235 Diley Rd. NW Pickerington, OH where friends may call from 5pm until time of memorial celebration at 6pm. A private burial will take place Monday in Dublin Cemetery.
